Prisoner apologizes, asks for forgiveness

forgiveness on Miscellaneous

http://www.newarkadvocate.com - My name is Ronald E. Hupp Jr. I am a 29-year-old inmate serving a four-year prison sentence from Licking County because of a third-degree felony conviction for aggravated drug possession and a third-degree felony conviction for tampering with evidence.

The reason I am writing this letter is because I felt the need to not only make a sincere apology to my family, friends and the courts as I’ve done, but also because I felt the need to apologize to you. I now realize and accept the fact that my actions and my crimes have had an impact on and affected you all as well. Therefore, I am now offering you all my sincere apology for my actions and my crimes.

Know that I am not a bad person, nor was I ever a bad person. Instead I am a good person who always has been a good person who just simply made some very poor choices in life that caused me to appear as if I was or am a bad person.

I am that good person who simply allowed drugs, alcohol and money to control my life. I was caught up with the wrong people, places and things. For that, I am sincerely sorry, ashamed, embarrassed and regretful. I wish so badly that I could take it all back and redo it. If I could, I most definitely would not repeat all I have done.

However, what’s done is done. I can accept it for what it is and continue to make the very best of it. I have and continue to take positive advantage of my present circumstance.

Know that I am not expecting all of you to forgive me as none of you owe me any forgiveness.
