I Forgive You

forgiveness on Videos - An emotional, uplifting and compelling one-hour documentary series which allows individuals the opportunity to forgive someone who has hurt them or a loved one. Whether the affliction is physical or emotional – the murder of a family member, an estranged parent, or sibling, infidelity, or bullying – the series brings two parties together to try and facilitate healing, overcome hatred, anger and revenge from real-life traumatizing events. Guided with mediation and healing support from educator and therapist Angie Richey, each story will showcase the ‘forgiver’ and the ‘receiver’ of the forgiveness before, during and after an act of forgiveness.

“I don’t know of anywhere on television where you get to see the raw, gripping emotions that stem from the act of forgiveness,” Brad Siegel, gmc TV’s vice chairman said of the network’s first unscripted series.

Offering a welcome and much needed alternative to the often sensationalistic, exploitive and negative reality genre, Oscar® and Emmy® award-winning producer Arnold Shapiro, known for “Rescue 911” and “Scared Straight!,” serves as executive producer on “I Forgive You,” along with Rob Lee.

Soon after Rob brought the concept to his attention, Shapiro realized “Forgiveness has the drama of any Shakespearean play. There is suspense, emotion, drama, uncertainty.... tears.”

Demonstrating the power of forgiveness motivated by people’s faith, goodness, and, in many cases, their spiritual values, the series showcases individuals seeking to forgive someone from a criminal or violent act, as well as estranged family members, and love, marriage or business relationships that ended with hatred or bitterness.
